Installation Guide

This installation guide should assist you in getting NetLogin Lite installed and operating on your system.

 System Requirements
  • Windows 95/98 or Windows NT4.0 / 2000
  • Internet Information Server 4.0 or above
  • Active Server Pages

 Getting Started
  •  Unzip the contents of this distribution into a subdirectory off the root of your web folder.
    (e.g. c:\inetpub\wwwroot\netloginlite).
    When unzipping the file with WinZip,  make sure to check "Use Folder Names" as the product comes with files and folders that are inter-related.
  • You will need to edit the [ config.asp ] file located in the 'include' directory.
  • You might want to customize the documents listed below.  You may use features located in Microsoft FrontPage, such as Shared Borders or Themes.
    - login.asp
 Using NetLogin Lite
ASP Includes must be the very first line on the web page, above all HTML tags.  Only one (1) include statement is required to secure any page within your web.  The web page that needs to be protected must have the '.asp' extension even if it contains strictly HTML.

To secure your web pages
You would use this include statement:
<!-- #include virtual="/netloginlite/secure.asp" -->

We hope that these installation instructions will help you understand the workings of NetLogin Lite as well as facilitate with the configuration and initial setup.
