OVERVIEW

ASPcontentmangement is a free open-source application released under the GPL (see bottom of page).
Designed to make the creation and updating of a small, simple website a quick and easy task.

REQUIREMENTS

INSTALLATION

  1. Unzip all files/folders.
  2. Copy all files to your webspace in structure as desired.
  3. Copy the database located in the DATA folder into your secure database folder outside of the root web. This folder will need write/delete permission for the IUSR account.
  4. The imageuploadpath specified in common/dbconn1.asp will need write/delete permission for the IUSR account.
  5. Edit the file dbconn1.asp under www/common/ change the following items:

    change apprul to the location of your webspace. Example: If you have uploaded to http://www.example.com/test, then you would enter "/test"

    change dbpath to the location of your database.

    (optional) change imageuploadpath to the full path of your images folder. This location will need write/delete permission for the IUSR account.

    (optional) change imagewebpath to the relative path of your images folder from a browser.

  6. Important: You will need to update the links for news and guestbook once you login to match your path.
  7. Login by going to www.yoursite.com/admin/confirm.asp, login as "admin" with the password of "contentmanagement"
  8. Go to Settings, then the link "Change Password", and change the default password.
  9. Enjoy!
